Strategies to Build Leadership Team Capacity on Continuous Improvement and Intensive Interventions
Content Start
This resource from the Region 7 Comprehensive Center describes strategies to build school leadership team capacity to implement a continuous improvement planning model and effectively use data to make informed instructional decisions. The first section details the research behind continuous improvement models, how to adopt them, and offers targeted state-level suggestions. The second section describes the intensive intervention process and its use. For instance, data-based individualization is a multistep process that includes the analysis of diagnostic assessment data and then the individualization of a validated intervention. A data-based individualization training model and a toolkit for teachers on designing and delivering intensive interventions also are presented. The second section also offers suggestions for state adoption.
