In 2019, the Center for American Progress conducted a survey of education stakeholders (e.g., parents, school administrators, teachers, etc.) and found that current school accountability metrics are insufficient in capturing the complexities of student learning. This brief highlights major discussion points and additional metrics that may be useful in assuring equal access to quality education.
