Angie Caldwell

Angie Caldwell is a Region 7 Comprehensive Center staff member, providing support for the Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida literacy projects. She has 10 years experience in public education. During this time, Ms. Caldwell has served as an elementary school teacher, literacy coach, and education and training specialist. For the past five years, she has focused on providing technical assistance to low-performing, rural schools in the areas of literacy and promoting evidence-based classroom instruction.

She has provided direct support to teachers and administrators to improve teacher quality through coaching, personalized professional development, and data analysis support. In addition, Ms. Caldwell has served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Mississippi, where she has provided classroom instruction to undergraduate teacher candidates in the areas of reading diagnosis and interventions. Her educational career has been dedicated to literacy and ensuring that all children have access to a high-quality education.

EDUCATION: Ed.S. in educational administration and supervision from Delta State University; M.Ed. in literacy education from University of Mississippi; B.S. in elementary education from University of Mississippi
