Dr. Blair, Ed.D., serves as Superintendent of Bullock County School System. Previously, Dr. Blair served as Network Deputy Chief of Schools for Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Prior to working for CPS, Dr. Blair was the Chief Academic Officer for Montgomery Public Schools. In addition, he has served as an English teacher, math teacher, elementary and middle school principal, central office administrator, post-secondary dean of education, and program administrator for the Alabama State Department of Education.
Dr. Blair completed fellowships with the Southern Education Foundation’s Racial Equity Leadership Network (RELN) and the KIPP Leadership Design Fellowship, where he was equipped with essential skills and resources to increase his equity leadership capacity and advance meaningful change for all students. Also, Dr. Blair serves on the Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Executive Leadership Council and the advisory boards of the Alabama Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs and the Alabama Rural Learning Accelerator. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
Dr. Blair’s passion for leadership development and demonstrated ability to inspire education leaders to come together around a shared vision of student success has been instrumental in helping schools and districts develop internal capacity to improve and achieve continuous improvement.
