Cindy M. Caldwell is a Region 7 Comprehensive Center staff member providing technical assistance in several areas to partnering states.
In Florida, Ms. Caldwell provides specialized support on the implementation of Florida Department of Education’s new standards. Her work also includes supporting Mississippi Department of Education’s mentoring and induction initiative for new teachers, as well as their Professional Growth System and Grow Your Own programs. Additionally, Ms. Caldwell provides technical assistance to the Alabama State Department of Education to develop and launch an English learner framework.
With more than 20 years of experience in Grades K–12 education, Ms. Caldwell has spent her Grades K–12 career both as a teacher in a high-needs school and as a district administrator leading professional learning programs, redesigning new teacher induction, tailoring mentor support, and creating teacher leadership pathways in an effort to recruit, develop, and retain highly effective educators for the most fragile students.
In her spare time, she loves traveling with her family wherever the mountains are and putting their rock-climbing skills to the test.
EDUCATION: M.Ed. in urban education from Florida International University; B.S. in elementary education from Barry University
