Lauren E. Jetty

Lauren E. Jetty, Ph.D., is a Region 7 Comprehensive Center staff member, specializing in support to the Alabama Math and Literacy Coaching project and the Florida Building Leadership Capacity project. She has more than 15 years of experience in the education sector spanning Grades PK–16 working across nonprofits, public schools, and universities.

She conducts research, evaluation, and technical assistance in educator preparation, development, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Recently, Dr. Jetty designed and implemented a collective impact evaluation of third grade literacy programs in California. She has served as an expert for the national Teacher Quality Programs Technical Assistance Center supporting higher education, district, and nonprofit grantees with designing plans for sustaining strategies to improve the quality and equitable distribution of effective educators for high-needs students. As a former practitioner, Dr. Jetty has worked as a secondary science teacher and a university instructor for teacher preparation methods for elementary and secondary preservice mathematics and science teachers.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. in science education from Syracuse University; M.S. in science teaching Grades 7–12 biology from Syracuse University; M.P.S. in environmental and forest biology from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry; B.S. in environmental education from Pennsylvania State University
