Patricia Cox

Patricia Cox

Patricia Cox is a research associate with RMC Research Corporation and works with the Region 7 Comprehensive Center. She serves as the state liaison for Alabama. Her work in Alabama includes managing the Improving Student Excellence in Math project and the Alabama Grades PK–3 Literacy project. These two projects focus primarily on the creation of an Alabama coach framework. Ms. Cox serves on the state Superintendent’s Extending Access to Learning team which was created specifically to address the COVID-19 pandemic. She also works with literacy teams in Mississippi and Florida.

Ms. Cox performed consulting work with RMC Research prior to joining the team which included training instructional coaches in Fulton County, Georgia, and attending an enhanced core reading instruction training at the University of Oregon.

EDUCATION: M.Ed. in elementary education, Grades K-5 from University of North Carolina, Charlotte; B.A. in elementary education, Grades K-6 from Pfeiffer College
