The Region 7 Comprehensive Center (R7CC) and Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) are supporting schools that are being escalated from Additional Targeted Support & Improvement to Comprehensive Support & Improvement based on their students with disabilities subgroup performance not meeting performance targets for three or more years. School teams will participate in a community of practice focused on building implementation teams and selecting and implementing high-leverage practices using data-informed decision-making to support the fidelity of implementation. The R7CC is assisting in the development of a sequence of learning for the community of practice that leverages MDE cross-office expertise, including in the Offices of School Improvement and Special Education. Learning will be provided through quarterly community of practice sessions and individual coaching provided to school teams between these sessions by the Office of School Improvement and Office of Special Education staff with support from R7CC.
