This resource from the Florida Center for Reading Research is designed to support state education agency (SEA) teams evaluate the evidence base of interventions, select those with strong evidence, and provide guidance to local education agencies on how to conduct this process. This document is particularly helpful for SEA staff supporting schools in need of Comprehensive and Targeted Support and Improvement under the Every Student Succeeds Act. The resource contains tools and guidance to support the collection and evaluation of evidence-based resources. The resource consists of a facilitator guide, scoring templates, and planning forms for others to lead collaborative conversations about the level of evidence on topics of interest. The appendix includes worked through examples of these materials on topics such as implementing systems change, establishing strong leadership, and improving academic instruction.
