This report provides details on districts in California that were identified as beating the odds, defined as districts in which students across racial/ethnic groups are outperforming similar students in other districts, closing gaps on a range of outcomes. The report provides an in-depth review of common strategies used by seven of the “positive outlier” districts that vary by demographics and geography.
